YO1 Radio presenter and producer Cai Sherlock is set to feature as part of BBC Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover this festive season, hosting four shows on Radio 1 Anthems.
Cai will be bringing listeners some of the biggest tracks from 2007, 2012, 2017 and 2022 across a series of programmes airing between Boxing Day and the end of December. The takeover celebrates iconic eras of music and gives presenters the chance to dive into defining anthems from each year.
Listeners can tune in to hear Cai on Radio 1 Anthems at the following times:
• Thursday 26 December, 3am – 6am
• Thursday 26 December, 6pm – 9pm
• Friday 27 December, 9am – 12pm
• Saturday 28 December, 12am – 3am
Cai has been part of the YO1 Radio team since 2022 and now works as a Content Producer, alongside hosting YO1’s evening show and the Saturday 1pm – 4pm slot. His appearance on Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover is a brilliant recognition of his talent, hard work and growing profile within the industry.
He is one of 14 selected for this year's BBC Radio 1 Christmas takeover.
Importantly for YO1 listeners, Cai isn’t going anywhere. He remains a key part of the station and will continue to be heard regularly on YO1 throughout the week and weekends.
