A cohort of new officers have completed their 21-week initial training, and attended their passing out ceremony.
In September 2022, North Yorkshire Police welcomed a cohort of Police Constable Degree Apprentices, who were the first group of brand new officers to swear their oath to King Charles III following the sad death of HM Queen Elizabeth.
They have now completed their 21-week initial training and attended their passing out ceremony last week.
After a well-earned week off, the 28 new officers will deploy across the force to their respective Professional Development Units to continue their training, get hands on experience and continue their demanding studies for their degree in Professional Policing Practice. They include eight officers destined for York.
The passing out ceremony was held at headquarters at Alverton Court in Northallerton on Friday 17 February 2023 and hosted by Chief Constable Lisa Winward.
