Jason Barnes from Pocklington is running the Rat 100 Ultra Marathon for Children with Cancer UK.
Barnes is running 100 miles from Edinburgh Castle to Glamis Castle over three days from 25th July to 27th July 2026.
Speaking on the upcoming ultra marathon, he said: "100 miles will hurt, it will be exhausting, and there will be moments I’ll want to stop, but children facing cancer don’t get the choice to stop their fight."
He continued, saying: "I’m raising money to help fund life-saving research, support families, and give children the chance to grow up, chase their dreams, and simply be kids."
