Selby Town played out a thrilling three-all draw against Athersley Recreation at the weekend.

The Robins went into the match hopeful of a third win in three as they visited Athersley, who sit at the bottom of the Northern Counties East Division One.

Two quickfire goals from Conor Qualter and Harry Clapham on the stroke of half-time were then cancelled out by Athersley after the break, before Iwan Heeley made it 3-2 fifteen minutes from time.

However, an eighty-eighth minute strike from Athersley's Ricky Berry meant the points would be shared. Ryan Cooper's men drop to tenth in the division ahead of their home clash with eighth placed Retford FC tomorrow.
