Between 1986 and 1996, Ian Webb was the landlord of the Kings Arms, in Kings Staith.
The beloved publican and family man, who lived in Southbank, sadly passed away on December 1 following complications with his health.
Born in Leeds in 1957, Ian moved to York as a young man to work in the pub industry. After some years, he was offered the chance to take over the Kings Arms by the brewery, Samuel Smith's.
"He was just the life and soul of that place," said his daughter Verity Webb.
"He’d always be making sure his regulars were well looked after, he’d always play pub jokes.
"He captivated an audience, and his audience were locals."
