Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash on a major road in York.

  Tony Binks passed away in his sleep on July 10 leaving widow Caroline - known as Cagga - and children Charlene, Janeann, Wilson, Farrow and Robinson as well as 15 grandchildren aged from five months to 17 years old.

  Westfield ward’s Cllr Andrew Waller said the Liberal Democrats worked hard to secure the grants used to improve Front Street when they were in the administration which ran York Council.

  Bollards in Acomb Front Street could be replaced with planters and seating after York council’s Executive gave the go ahead for detailed plans for its future to be drawn up.

• A well-known York restaurant has announced a significant improvement in its food hygiene ratings.

  The Olive Tree York in Tower Street received one star from City of York Council following an inspection in February, meaning ‘major improvement necessary.

• A WOMAN from North Yorkshire has been arrested in connection with a double murder investigation.

  Surrey Police say it follows the death of two men in a crash in Sunbury after their officers were called at 12.52am on Monday (July 22) to the A316 southbound slip road onto the M3 following a suspected collision involving a black e-bike.
