Since launching a dedicated commercial agency division last August,
York-based commercial property Colenso says its new division has been busy on a range of projects in the city’s retail, leisure, office and industrial sectors.
The commercial agency division supports landlords, developers and occupiers, with expertise primarily across leasing, letting, purchase and sale of retail, leisure, office and industrial property.
James Ratcliffe, partner and head of commercial agency at Colenso, says demand for retail, leisure and industrial space continues to outstrip supply.
James told the Press: “Over the past 12 months, it is fair to say the market has strengthened significantly. We have new stores, upsizing and investment in new stores.”
Among them New Zealand clothing retailer Rodd & Gunn recently opened in Stonegate, and with the help of Colenso, Evans Cycles opened in Coney Street, creating a temporary store with a view to seeking a permanent home in the city.
