A Pickering runner completed the Athens Marathon, raising funds for Day One Trauma Support.
Nick Cousins, a member of Pickering Running Club, tackled the historic course, retracing the steps of the first marathon runner, Pheidippides, from the town of Marathon to Athens, finishing in the Panathenaic Stadium.
With 20,000 runners participating, the course presented a significant challenge, featuring 1,100 feet of elevation in humid conditions.
Nick completed the event in a commendable four hours and 41 minutes, raising funds through his JustGiving page.
