The bottom section of Carr Lane, between Rosedale Avenue and Front Street, is set to be closed during the day on weekdays for the next fortnight while maintenance work takes place.
Work is set to take place from 9am until 4pm each weekday starting from November 11 until November 22.
The road will be closed to traffic but is still currently open to pedestrians on both sides.
The number 24 bus, which runs between Acomb and Fulford, will not service its Carr Lane stop during this time but will otherwise run as normal.
