A MAN has been arrested after a teenager was robbed outside a church in York.
North Yorkshire Police say that just before 7pm on Monday (July 14) a member of the public reported seeing three men assault another man on the path to St Barnabas Church in Jubilee Terrace close to Leeman Road.
A force spokesman said: "Officers headed to the scene immediately.
"The three suspects ran off into the nearby housing estate with the victim's rucksack, before throwing it into a garden.
"An 18-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of robbery.
"The teenage victim received a broken nose and cuts and bruises to his face.
