East Riding of Yorkshire Council say they will invest £1.2 million in work to resurface roads and paths in Pocklington town centre.
The scheme will be carried out in Market Place and the Market Square, Union Street, Railway Street and West Green and is scheduled to start in early January and continue over the next eight months.
The resurfacing of Market Place and Market Square will follow the completion of a project to create a new pedestrianised area around the Jubilee monument in Market Place.
The resurfacing work will be carried out in phases with the Market Place and Market Square due to take place between Monday, January 6 and Friday, April 25.
The majority of resurfacing at this site will be carried out in the evenings, from Mondays to Fridays, with occasional Sunday and daytime working hours.
