UPDATED 11:40am: The Environment Agency has updated its flood warning for riverside properties on the River Ouse in York.
It said the update is for properties on King's Staith in York and riverside areas through Lendal Bridge to Millennium Bridge.
It added: "Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences.
"Start acting on your flood plan if you have one."
FLOOD warnings have been issued for York as river levels rise due to Storm Gerrit.
