EIGHT flood warnings and 16 flood alerts remain in place and 3,000 properties are without power this morning across North Yorkshire in the wake of Storm Darragh.
The Environment Agency has flood warnings in place for the River Foss upstream of Yearsley Baths in York.
The Viking recorder in the city centre was 3m above normal at 4.45am today (December 9) and compared with 4.39m on January 3 this year.
The highest recorded level at this point on the Ouse was 5.40 metres in November 2000.
The Environment Agency says river levels have peaked in York and are now falling slowly, but a flood alert remains in place for the Upper Ouse.
