A MUCH-LOVED York charity has put out a call to arms to help improve home care provision in the city for older people.
Age UK York is a local, independent charity that’s been around for more 50 years desperately needs volunteers and paid home care workers.
The charity, which provides many vital services including care after hospital, befriending and dementia clubs, is looking for volunteers and paid staff to continue its work and is seeking team members who would like to make a difference to people’s lives.
Simon Holmes, Age UK York’s CEO, said: “Our aim here at Age UK York is to help as many older people in the city as possible to receive the care and support they need, when they need it. As a local charity it is our reason for being and each day we provide support as we tackle the challenges faced by too many. This is only possible thanks to our team of staff and volunteers. To meet the needs here in York we require additional team members, including volunteers and paid care workers.
