CELEBRATIONS are underway after an inspection at a top York school.
Bootham School was found to be fully compliant with all aspects of the Independent Schools’ Regulations and the National Minimum Standards for boarding.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) offer a binary outcome of either 'met' or 'not met', and the report highlights the school's exceptional leadership, high academic standards, and strong commitment to student wellbeing, all of which are deeply rooted in Bootham’s Quaker ethos.
Head, Deneal Smith, said: “We are incredibly proud of this ISI report, which reflects the dedication of our staff, the engagement of our students, and the unwavering support of our school community. Bootham’s Quaker ethos continues to shape our approach to education, and we remain committed to providing an outstanding learning environment where every student can flourish.”
Mr Smith said governors, staff, and pupils at Bootham School have been commended for their dedication to fostering an inclusive, high-achieving, and supportive environment.
