Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to visit Selby Abbey on Saturday 26th November between 10.00am and 4.00pm to use their skills to record the fascinating detail of craftsmen of earlier generations.
The event is open to painters, photographers, sculptors, sketchers etc. and there will be children’s art activities in the morning. Chris Luker from Cawood Art Club will be Artist-in-Residence for the day and his friends from Cawood Art Club will exhibit their recent works.
A new feature this year will be Serena Partridge, the Abbey’s Artist-in-Residence 2022, who will demonstrate and talk about the art of miniscule embroidery – some of her recent work is already on display in the Abbey.
The event is free - no need to book - simply turn up during opening hours and artists may come and go as they please.
