North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called out just before 3am today (August 22) after reports of a fire in Acomb.
A service spokesman said: “Fire crews from Acomb, York and Tadcaster responded to a flat fire on a second storey.
“Breathing apparatus initiated until all persons accounted for. Fire extinguished. Premises ventilated. Fire investigation to commence later.”
