A WELL-KNOWN and respected hotelier in York has sadly passed away aged 73 following a battle with illness.

• A NEWLY-installed fixed speed camera has been knocked down - just over an hour after it was activated.

  Police investigating after the lamppost hosting the camera on the A64 at Sherburn near Malton was damaged at around 2.20am today (Tuesday).
