Tom Brown, 27, already runs the Knapton Lion and the Lord Nelson at Nether Poppleton. And from next month, he will be adding The Fox at Stockton-on-Forest to his portfolio.
The pub closed last August but in June was bought by villagers Kate Starkey and Philippa Myers. It had been on the market for £275,000 freehold.
Last month, following a campaign by York Camra, City of York Council awarded the pub Asset of Community Status, to give the building extra protection as a pub.
Tom says he had been looking for a third pub to operate and customers had told him villagers in Stockton-on-Forest wanted the return of their village pub, leading to a lettings agent to contact him and say the pub was on the market.
Now, he is leaseholder for the site and will be paying Kate and Philippa a monthly rental.
