Edwardian Bedding, 18-19 Colliergate, opened in February this year.
The bedding company added to their portfolio of stores, which includes sites in Shrewsbury, Hornsea, Mexborough, Malton and Leyburn.
However, today (September 4), they confirmed to The Press that they have left the York site for good.
They said that the move was first done on a short-term lease, a lease which they didn't choose to extend.
Edwardian Bedding continues to trade at their five other locations.
