The cordon is around a bench in North Street Gardens, next to the River Ouse, today (Wednesday, August 28).
A police officer was on the scene at 10am with a police van parked on North Street, outside the gardens.
An empty beer bottle was on its side below the bench with a Corona box lying across from it.
