A tree has come down in Selby Cemetery which is closed today says Selby councillor Steve Shaw-Wright.
Cllr Shaw-Wright said: "No one was hurt, trees have destroyed the Apiary, but fortunately no serious damage, council staff working to secure the site, and will be working on the tidy up as soon as practicable.
"There are no funerals today and we ask residents to avoid the area today."
It comes as weather warnings remain in place today for York and much of the country as Storm Lilian sweeps in.
