North Yorkshire Police said the force’s neighbourhood policing team, British Transport Police and City of York Council licensing officers were out in force yesterday (February 18).
A force spokesperson said: “During the operation, multiple tickets were issued, and drivers received valuable advice to help them stay compliant with the relevant regulations.
“This joint effort reflects our ongoing commitment to public safety, as officers carried out inspections, checked vehicle licensing, and ensured all taxis meet the necessary standards to give you peace of mind when travelling.”
