Drivers were being warned that the A64 eastbound remains partly closed due to emergency repairs from the A1036 Tadcaster Road to the A19 Fulford Interchange.
People were initially being asked yesterday to find alternative routes until work was complete, and the road remains down to one lane this morning.
It follows a crash on Sunday near the B1222 at Naburn Lane.
