City of York Council says that North Street in York city centre is set at its junction starting at 9pm on Thursday (January 9) until 2.30am the next day.
A council spokesman said one way traffic in Tanner Row between its junctions with North Street and Rougier Street will be suspended during the closure to allow two-way access.
An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works via Tanner Row, George Hudson Street and Micklegate.
It comes as The Press reported yesterday that Micklegate will also be closed at its junction with Bar Lane from 9am - 8pm on Sunday (January 12) for water supply works to be carried out.
