North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about a bike that was stolen between 9pm on Wednesday 28 February and 9.30pm on Thursday 29 February.
It happened at the City Residence student accommodation on Haxby Road in York when a blue folding Raleigh bike stolen from a site bike rack, similar to the one pictured.
The police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101.
