Appeal Following Graffiti Attacks on York Properties

Police are appealing for information after a series of criminal damage incidents in York, where buildings were targeted with racially offensive graffiti.

The damage was reported in recent days at locations including Foxwood Lane, Hob Moor and Chesney Fields. Officers are treating the offences as suspected hate-related criminal damage.

Enquiries are underway to establish whether the incidents are linked to a similar attack at a nearby takeaway restaurant on 29 August.

Investigators are now asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information, or who may have captured footage of the incidents on CCTV, doorbell or dashcam cameras, is urged to come forward.
