Appeal After Violent Assault Outside York Hotel

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault outside The Hampton by Hilton Hotel on Piccadilly, York.

The incident happened at 2.39am on Sunday 27 July 2025, when a man was attacked in what’s believed to be an unprovoked assault by two unknown men.

The victim was kicked in the ribsknocked to the floor, and then kicked in the head multiple times. He required hospital treatment for his injuries.

Police are particularly keen to trace a taxi driver who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
