A young film star who played a lead role in a festive film shot in North Yorkshire, starring Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson, has won a prestigious award.
Matilda Firth joined her co-stars in filming Christmas comedy Tinsel Town, set to be released on December 5, in Knaresborough earlier this year.
The ten-year-old, who plays Kiefer’s daughter Emma, is already something of a film and TV veteran – something which was recognised at the Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards on Thursday (November 13).
The film follows failed Hollywood actor Bradley Mack, played by Emmy award-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland, as he stars in an eccentric town’s adaptation of Cinderella.
Here, he encounters a colourful cast of oddball locals who slowly come to hold a special place in his heart, including no-nonsense choreographer Jill, performed by Rebel Wilson.
