The first Jupiter Cloud Book Festival arrives in York on 28th February and will bring together over 25 local authors and bookish small businesses to create a day of literary fun.
The festival will take place at St Saviourgate Venues in York City Centre from 11am to 5pm and aims to allow readers to discover new authors and take home some 'hidden gems' that could turn out to be their new favourite read.
There will be authors of all genres from romance and true crime to illustrated children's books.
The event will feature 25 stalls selling a variety of different gifts for book lovers.
There will also be a full schedule of talks and performances as well as hands-on workshops which will help you create literary masterpieces of your own.
Expect talks from authors, readings and exclusive poetry performances too.
The festival is organised by author Romy Morgan, who wrote LGBT romance series, 'Fallen Feathers' which is set in York.
Romy is also the founder of independent publishing company, Jupiter Cloud Books which specialises in LGBT fiction.
Speaking on the festival, Romy said: "I want to highlight authors that most people may not be familiar with, to encourage people to read away from just the well-known bestsellers or the ones popular on BookTok."
Tickets cost £3 and are available here: Jupiter Cloud Book Festival - York Tickets, Sat, 28 Feb 2026 at 11:00 | Eventbrite
