A major event on film production in the UK will be the highlight of the Aesthetica Film Festival today (Thursday 6th November).
The UK Film Production Company Summit takes place at the Grand Hotel as part of the 15th anniversary Aesthetica Film Festival.
More than 100 executives from production companies and related trades are expected to attend.
York and North Yorkshire Mayor David Skaith will be attending and speaking at this and other festival events, which began yesterday (wed) and runs until Sunday.
Mayor Skaith will highlight how creativity, collaboration and innovation are driving growth across the region, and reaffirm the creative industries as a key priority in York and North Yorkshire’s Local Growth Plan.
To support the creative sector, the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority has helped fund both the UNESCO Media Arts EXPO and the Reignite XI event during the festival.
These events bring together local and international partners to showcase innovation in film, digital media and immersive technology, including AR, VR and XR.
