Patience to return for third series with filming next month
Patience, a crime drama set in York, has announced it will be back for an extended 10-episode run after the success of its last two instalments.
The first series, which premiered last year, was the biggest drama of the year for Channel 4 – averaging 4.2 million viewers per episode – and the second season was the channel’s most-watched series so far in 2026.
It drew an average audience of 4.2 million viewers (0-28 day, all screens) and recorded a 16 per cent big-screen share within the first week of airing.
