A mental health charity founder and a deputy mayor are set to be honoured by York St John University.
Jack Woodhams, founder of the York-based men’s mental health charity Menfulness, and Alison Lowe OBE, West Yorkshire’s Deputy Mayor for Police and Crime, will be honoured by York St John University during its 2025 graduation ceremonies.
The events will take place from November 18 to 21 at York Minster and will see 2,900 students graduate.
Professor Karen Bryan, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of York St John University, said: "Seeing our students graduate is one of the most rewarding moments of the year.
"Our ceremonies in York Minster are a truly memorable occasion for everyone who has worked hard to complete their studies, providing a chance to celebrate their achievements with friends and family.
"This year, I am also delighted to recognising our two honorary graduates, Jack Woodhams, and Alison Lowe OBE, for their inspirational work.
"My warmest congratulations to our graduating class of 2025, we look forward to your continued success."
