Flood warnings and multiple flood alerts are in place for the centre of York for a consecutive day today, and parts of North Yorkshire outside the city with rivers swollen following recent heavy rain.
In York, levels on the River Ouse passing from Lendal Bridge to Millennium Bridge are expected to caused flooding today (January 29) to riverside properties and further to the south of the city, St George's Field car and coach park and Rowntree Park are now also under the same warning.
Flood alerts - meaning flooding is possible - remained in place overnight for the Lower and Upper River Derwent, and the Upper River Ouse, according to the Environment Agency (EA).
