A charity in York is calling on businesses to help make the festive season brighter for those in need.
York Cares is appealing for support from the business community for its Christmas Gift Collection and Shimmer and Shine Party, both aimed at spreading kindness and connection across the city.
More than 4,000 essential items are needed by 13 local charities, including toiletries, warm clothing, food, toys, and gifts.
Hannah Corkery, volunteering project officer at York Cares, said: "Every donation, financial or physical, will be used to purchase or provide items from the wish list, guaranteeing that support is targeted and effective."
