A much-loved York business has submitted plans for a brand new retail concept in a historic city landmark.
York businessmen Marcus Doyle and Warren Booth, who own the Yorkshire Soap Company and The Imaginarium in Blake Street and The Society of Alchemists in Shambles have submitted a full planning application to City of York Council to convert the historic Monk Bar building in York from a museum to retail use.
The company, which operates ten stores across Yorkshire under three established brands, plans to turn the former home of the old Richard Ⅲ Experience in the historic Bar Walls into a shop.
