Made in Yorkshire is hosting the vibrant celebration of Yorkshire's creative talent coming to Parliament Street this Spring from 7th-12th April.
The six day festival will transform the city centre into a bustling hub of creativity, craftsmanship and hands-on experiences and demonstrations.
These experiences and demonstrations include stained glass making, blacksmithing, felt-making, willow weaving and paper craft.
There will also be a large main marquee filled with local makers and producers, showcasing and selling their handmade goods.
Visitors will get the chance to browse a wide variety of high-quality crafts, from homeware and gifts to art and traditional handmade products which have been made across the region.
Families will find plenty to enjoy as the festival includes dedicated children's craft activities like pot painting and those keen to try something new can take part in practical sessions led by artisans such as pot throwing.
The festival aims to highlight the skill and creativity of Yorkshire's independent craft community while giving people the opportunity to meet the makers behind the work.
Tracie Jarvis-Post, Director of Made in Yorkshire said: "The festival is designed to celebrate Yorkshire’s rich heritage of craft while encouraging people of all ages to explore creativity."
She continued, saying: “Yorkshire has an incredible community of skilled makers, artists and crafts people, The Yorkshire Craft Festival is all about bringing those makers together in one place, giving visitors the chance to discover locally made products, learn new skills and enjoy a creative day out in the heart of York.”
The festival itself is free to attend and will be open on Parliament Street from 10:00 to 17:00, from 7th to 12th April.
