A York student is putting her all into raising vital funds for a popular York youth club.
Door 84 Youth and Community Centre runs regular sessions for eight to 25-year-olds from its base in Lowther Street in the Groves.
It has been in existence since the 1930s, known formerly as York Boy’s Club on Redness Street and latterly as Door 84, the Lowther Street building dates back to around 1910 and needs a significant amount of upkeep.
York student and volunteer takes on her first marathon to raise funds for local registered charity Door 84.
20-year-old Grace Valentine, of Heslington is a third year student studying history at the University of York.
She first joined Door 84 as a volunteer during her time at the university, she quickly saw just how much of a difference the charity makes to young people and the wider community.
