Snow has been forecast for York as the area prepares for a drop in temperatures.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place for York and North Yorkshire from 7pm on Thursday (February 12) until 12pm on Friday.
The Met Office said temperatures in York are expected to drop from Thursday night, falling to 2C by Friday morning.
