A recently opened pharmacy in York is reporting success as it serves both York and the UK with an expanding range of offerings.
MedHut is based on Hospital Fields Road, off Fulford Road, and is run by brother and sister team Jamal and Amina Hussain.
The online pharmacy has an NHS contract to dispense prescriptions, including with free home delivery.
It also offers private (non-NHS) services, including weight-loss treatments, erectile dysfunction treatments and some aesthetics treatments.
The success of the venture comes as York is said by the National Pharmacy Association to be the second worst area in the UK for pharmacy closures.
Jamal says what makes their pharmacy special is taking the time to build up relationships with customers, which can include giving customers counselling and advice concerning the medication.
