Clifton Hall care home is to open in Shipton Road in April.
It follows Yorkare Homes being granted approval for the 60-bed care home on the site of the former Lime Trees Medical Centre, despite its green belt location.
Yorkare Homes runs six other care homes, including Rawcliffe Manor, Haxby Hall and Marton Gate Manor in Bridlington.
The company said its new facility in Shipton Road will provide residential, dementia and respite care, as well as day care.
