Remembrance events are being held in York and North Yorkshire to honour those who gave their lives in service.
York's main commemorative event takes place on Sunday 9 November with a Service of Remembrance held at the Memorial Gardens.
Organised by the York Branch of the Royal British Legion, the annual event will see military and ex-service personnel march through the city, supported by Legion and Regimental standards.
Veterans will first gather in Stonegate from 10am with facilities available at the Punch Bowl pub, courtesy of the landlord, for veterans before and after the parade.
The service will begin at 11am, marked by a two-minute silence, and members of the public are encouraged to attend and pay their respects.
There will be temporary traffic restrictions for various roads in York from 7am until 1pm on Sunday during the parade.
At 6.30pm on Sunday, St Lawrence Parish Church will hold its Service of Remembrance in the form of Choral Evensong.
The service in Lawrence Street will be attended by the High Sheriff of North Yorkshire Sir Andrew Lawson-Tancred, and the Lord Mayor of York Martin Rowley with the Civic Party.
Pupils at St Lawrence's CE Primary School have been making lanterns, one for each parishioner who gave their life in the two World Wars and the Falklands conflict, and these will be candle lit and displayed in the churchyard while the names of the fallen will be read out during the service.
A church spokesperson said: "Flowers for the Fallen will have one of their beautiful poppy nets on display.
