FIFTY TWO at Rudding Park Awarded Michelin Star

The immersive 20 guest dining experience led by Head Chef and Host, Adam Degg is rooted in seasonality and sustainability and is now recognised by the Michelin Guide with its first Michelin Star.

Immersive dining experience FIFTY TWO at Rudding Park in Harrogate has been awarded a Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2026.

Head Chef and Host, Adam Degg began his career in food by chance aged 16 when a missed train led to him washing dishes at a friend's family restaurant.

He then went on to cook at a number of acclaimed London restaurants, one of which being the two-Michelin-Star 'Hand and Flowers' in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

Speaking on FIFTY TWO's Michelin success, Degg said: “Winning a Michelin Star honestly means the world to us."

He continued saying: "When we opened FIFTY TWO in 2024, the goal was to create something genuine, fun and rooted in the incredible produce we grow right here at Rudding Park."

"So much of what we do starts in the Kitchen Garden, and I have to give huge credit to Emma, our Head Kitchen Gardener, whose work shapes every dish we serve."

Drawing directly from the surrounding grounds and the namesake ‘52’ raised beds in the Kitchen Garden, FIFTY TWO takes its cue from Mother Nature.

The restaurant’s dedicated garden, led by Head Kitchen Gardener Emma Pugh, yields more than 500 varieties of herbs, fruits and vegetables, ensuring no two nights at FIFTY TWO are ever the same.

On arrival at FIFTY TWO, up to 20 guests are welcomed to the Kitchen Garden where they can explore the garden with a drink and snack before being presented with a carefully curated 10-course meal.

The restaurant is constructed from five upcycled shipping containers, with raw steel windows and skylights cut into the structure.

Guests are seated facing the open kitchen as Adam and his team of five cook, chat and curate the soundtrack for the evening – including Dessert Island Discs, where guests are invited to request a track for the FIFTY TWO playlist.

The atmosphere is intimate yet relaxed: a dinner-party format that focuses on the best of the seasons, with a menu that evolves daily based on produce from the garden. 

The FIFTY TWO experience is open for single sitting dinner Wednesday to Sunday.

The price ranges from £85 to £190 per person.
