Campaigners fighting plans for a huge new solar farm in North Yorkshire have abandoned their legal battle – but vowed to carry on their fight.
Residents of Camblesforth, near Selby, said they have run out of time to launch a High Court challenge over the 1,175-hectare site that will be built on their doorstep.
Plans for the Helios Solar Farm, set to become one of the largest solar farms in the UK, were given the go-ahead by energy secretary Ed Miliband last month.
