Artists of all ages and abilities, whether painters. photographers, sculptors, sketchers or whatever, are invited to visit Selby Abbey on Saturday 28th October to use their skills to record the fascinating detail of craftsmen of earlier generations.
Doors open at 10.00am and artists may turn up at any time during the day with their equipment. Admission is free and no booking is necessary
The day will also include an exhibition of paintings by members of Cawood Art Club with Artist-in-Residence Chris Luker
Selby Textile Art Group launch their new exhibition in the Abbey that day, running until5th November, with a theme of ‘Into the Woods’. It will feature traditional and contemporary embroidery, batik, felting, goldwork, beadwork and much more.
Selby Abbey welcomes visitors daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Admission is free
