THE LORD MAYOR'S BRAND NEW SCHEME

YO1 is delighted to be supporting a new initiative launched by the Lord Mayor of York, the Rt Hon Cllr Martin Rowley.

The Lord Mayor’s Commendation Scheme will recognise, at the Lord Mayor’s discretion, individuals and groups who have made a difference in their community.

There are SIX categories – and the Lord Mayor is looking for YOUR recommendations and nominations.

The commendations will rank second only to the highest honour in the gift of the Lord Mayor and Council – the Freedom of the City of York – so this is something really special.

Closing date for nominations is the end of February – and the recipients will be invited to a ceremony at the Manson House later in the year.
