YO1 Radio and First Bus York Social Media Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility:

• The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except employees of YO1 Radio, First Bus York, and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organizations or judging of the competition.

2. How to Enter:

• To enter the competition, participants must:
  • Like the competition post on YO1 Radio's/@FirstYork social media platform.
  • Follow YO1 Radio and @FirstYork on the same social media platform.
  • Share the competition post on their own social media profile.
• Entries must be submitted before the competition closes on 1st May at 4pm.

3. Prize:

• The winner will receive one month's free bus travel with First Bus York, redeemable on the First Bus App, and an iPad (10th Generation).
• The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

4. Winner Selection:

• The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.
• The winner will be notified via direct message on the social media platform they entered with.
• If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

5. Publicity:

• By entering the competition, participants agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

6. General Terms:

• YO1 Radio and First Bus York reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control.
• Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by YO1 Radio and First Bus York.
• The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform. Participants are providing their information to YO1 Radio and First Bus York and not to any other party.

7. Limitation of Liability:

• YO1 Radio and First Bus York will not be responsible for any entries that are not received for any reason, whether incomplete, incorrect, or otherwise. Nor will they be liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with participation in this competition or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.

8. Governing Law:

• These terms and conditions are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

9. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
