Today is the annual Golf Competition for The Three Bears Foundation. I popped along to visit all the players and charity supporters this morning before they set off. No, I am not in team! if it was Adventure or Crazy Golf I would be straight there! For those who have never met Mark and his foundation - Marks' wife Jane died from Pancreatic Cancer in 2017 and he realised just how much it is not talked about and how the symptoms are quite normal everyday signs, so can easily be ignored. So the Three Bears Foundation came about, and the name was chosen by Chris, Marks son, as he always knew his parents as Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and of course he was Baby Bear. With other Trustees, the foundation began to raise awareness and help the research into Pancreatic Cancer. Marks personality, as one of lifes an all round good guy, means the place today is packed with golfers and friends ready to help the cause. The raffle is in swing (pardon the pun!) and everyone prepared for the sun (the smell of suntan lotion ready for a golfers tan) I wish them all well and will be in touch on amounts made.
