Snappy Fete at The Derwent Arms Saturday 26th of August

Well what can I say! I went for an hour and stayed all day! A fantastic Summer Fete raising funds and awareness for The Snappy Trust - what's not to love. Rod and Adie, the landlords have a fire in their bellies for charity and making a difference. They chose Snappy as children charities are close to their hearts and the believe in supporting local (right down to their food - which by the way was amazing!) The weather was great, the atmosphere buzzing and the stalls provided fun and local produce. Snappy the crocodile was there much to the children's delight (he's in many photos I am sure) and the Sheriff of York came along to join in the games too. the day was finished off by a fantastic raffle and an audience ready with their tickets - I won a food voucher! I'm going back anyway I am hooked by their ethos in life and vibrant personalities - Karaoke Wednesday has my name written all over it! Visit The Derwent Arms In Osbaldwick and see what I mean.
