A POLICE incident has partially closed a major road through North Yorkshire.

The A1(M) is partially closed after a police incident at Dishforth from junction 49 Ripon Road for Thirsk to junction 48 for Boroughbridge.

The road was partially closed after a police incident at Dishforth from junction 49 Ripon Road for Thirsk to junction 48 for Boroughbridge.

One lane of three was closed first thing this morning, but has since reopened.
